1. Keep your info safe. Avoid using your address for a meeting spot or posting details about your personal life – don’t advertise that you’re moving, going on vacation, or any information that could put you or your home at risk. Never give anyone your credit card information.
2. Choose a public meeting spot. Meet potential buyers and sellers at well-known public areas like malls, shopping centers, or even outside police stations.
3. Bring a friend. Let a friend or loved one know where you are going or ask them to come along.
4. Stay within your comfort zone. If you are uncomfortable meeting a stranger or don’t have access to any of the options above, you can always sell your items to consignment or donate them.
